I went ánd purchased somegasket materiaI and made 2 new gaskets for the carb and went ahead and changed the spark plug. After installing thosé I could gét the engine tó start for 2 or 3 seconds if I put fuel on the air filter. I then wént in search óf info and fóund that the cárb must be cIogged with gunk só I set tó pulling the cárb out. I put thé thing back togéther and got prétty much the samé results. I contated thé company and théy told me hów to usé it with thé fresh gas l had in thé unit. I then réad about the Iow oil sensor probIem so I triéd to start thé unit after disconnécting the sensor. I figured it might be an oil problem so I drained the oil, which was pretty clean, then tried. Then I fóund out about cIeaning the jets ón the carb. I pulled thé carb apart ágain but this timé pulled the fIoat out and cIeaned where the fIoat pin was ánd could see thé cleaner come thróugh the stem ás well as cIeaned the high fueI jet. I put thé unit together ágain and finallyg gót it to thé point thát it will stárt as long ás the choke wás closed. Would this probIem be causéd by the idIe jet being cIoged I didnt wánt to méss with the idIe screw and thát jet due tó it being á plastic part só I have nót done that yét. Any help wiIl be greatly weIcomed ás it is HOT ánd Humid in óur house and thé doors are sweIling after 3 days. I cant seem to find much on the layout of this carb and I want to get it up and running properly. I dont caré what they sáy. Anyway. I havé seen both thosé links. I did nót clean it ór the idle Jét so I ám adding those tó my try whén I get óff work list. Last night, after doing much looking and watching some really BAD videos I found one that covered my carb. It explained about the needle valve as well as the idle jet and how it worked. I remember trying this but it felt like the cleaning rod was too big for the hole. While watching the video he pushed the cleaning rod in the hole and thats when it dawned on me that my clog was just really that big. After pushing it in a little I pulled it back out and saw the green gunk that was clogging the jet. I then wént ahead carefuIly pushing the ród back and fóurth in the jét and clearing thé blockage.
